Dear Cleopatra,
My parents are going to buy some plants for our new house. Which plants are safe for pets?

Great question, Lilly!
When mom and dad first brought me home, they put all the plants in the bathroom until they were sure all of them were safe for me to be around.
After all, I was an incredible explorer, and on my first day, I wanted to investigate everything in my new home.
Several pretty plants are pet-friendly. My favorite is the Ponytail Palm. But there are many other palms that are safe too like the Areca and Bamboo Palm.
If you are looking for a plant with a little color, Africans Violets are easy to grow and love the sunshine, just like me.
My friend Kooza likes Boston ferns. They are easy to care for and non-toxic.
Newman’s pop pop grew orchids. Grandma Betty loves them and the ASPCA said they were beautiful plants that are safe for Newman too.
