Wendy McClure can often be found cuddling with her three granddogs, Roxie, Cato and Elie, all rescues from Harley’s Haven Dog Rescue. Wendy wanted to give back to Harley’s Haven for bringing so much joy into her life. She had some old comforters and instead of giving them to Good Will, Wendy and her daughter’s mother-in-law, Emma Kay, sewed them into little dog beds for the Harley's Haven pups still waiting for a forever home. Rescue Comforters was born!

Wendy chooses to repurpose old comforters that have been loved by their owners hoping the dogs can feel that love. Wendy has already made over a dozen Rescue Comforters with the approval of her Chief Inspector, Charles Henry Watts. Charles is the McClure’s kitty, also a rescue. Charles ensures all Rescue Comforters are approved for snuggling before they are delivered to the shelters.
If you have old comforters you would like to donate, please contact PawCrowd at PawCrowd@comcast.net so your something old can be something new for pups waiting to find their new family.
