Dogs are probably getting walked by every member of the family these days and perhaps more often than they did before the Coronavirus quarantine. But what else can you do to keep yourself and your furry family members occupied? Here are a few fun ideas:
Catch up on your pet’s grooming. Give them some extra brushes and check to see if their nails need clipping.
Play with their favorite toy or introduce them to a new toy.
Teach your pet some new tricks. Make it into a family competition to see who can teach your family pet the best new trick.
Go on a treat hunt. Save your recommended number of daily treats for the treat hunt. Hide treats around a room or two and watch your pet collect them all. Don’t overdo it. Everyone in the family has to watch their weight during this time.
Find a new pet friend to connect with on Instagram and follow them.
Take funny pictures of your pet and post them on Facebook and Instagram. Try using an app like Clip2Comic to give them a new look before posting.
Using FaceTime, Zoom, or Houseparty, have a virtual contest with other pet-lovers. Set a theme for the call – best dressed, funniest hat, or best trick.
Watch a movie together. There are many pet-related movies on Netflix, Hulu, Disney, and On Demand.
Create some art with your pet. There is non-toxic pet paint that you can order online and have it delivered to your home.
